1. Access Data and Hosting

You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Each time a webpage is accessed, the web server automatically stores what is known as a server log file, which includes, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transferred, and the requesting provider (access data), and documents the access.

These access data are evaluated exclusively for the purpose of ensuring the smooth operation of the site and improving our services. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in the proper presentation of our offering, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests, in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR.

All access data are deleted no later than seven days after your visit to the site.

2. Data Processing for Contract Execution and Customer Contact

2.1 Data Processing for Contract Execution

For the purpose of contract execution in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR, we collect personal data if you voluntarily provide them to us as part of your order. Mandatory fields are marked as such because we require these data to process the contract, and we cannot fulfill the order without them. The specific data collected can be seen from the respective input forms.

Further details about how we process your data, especially regarding the disclosure to our service providers for order, payment, and shipping processing, can be found in the following sections of this privacy policy. After the contract has been fully executed, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the expiry of tax and commercial retention periods in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(c) GDPR, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR or we reserve the right to use the data in a way that is legally permitted and of which we inform you in this policy.

2.2 Customer Account

If you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR by choosing to open a customer account, we will use your data for the purpose of setting up the customer account and storing your data for future purchases on our website. You may delete your customer account at any time, either by sending a message to the contact details provided in this privacy policy or by using the function provided for this purpose in the customer account.

After deletion of your customer account, your data will also be deleted unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR or we reserve the right to use the data beyond that, as permitted by law and as outlined in this policy.

2.3 Contacting Us

As part of customer communication, we collect personal data to process your inquiries, in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR, if you voluntarily provide them when contacting us (e.g., via contact form or email). Mandatory fields are marked as such because we need these data to process your request. The specific data collected can be seen from the respective input forms.

After your inquiry has been fully processed, your data will be deleted unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR or we reserve the right to use the data beyond that, as permitted by law and as explained in this policy.

3. Data Processing for Shipping Purposes

For the fulfillment of the contract in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR, we pass your data on to the shipping service provider tasked with the delivery, to the extent necessary for the delivery of the ordered goods.

4. Data Processing for Payment Transactions

In processing payments in our online shop, we cooperate with the following partners: technical service providers, financial institutions, and payment service providers.

4.1 Data Processing for Transaction Handling

Depending on the selected payment method, we pass on the data necessary for processing the payment transaction to our technical service providers (acting on our behalf under data processing agreements), the assigned financial institutions, or the selected payment service provider, to the extent this is required for payment processing. This is done in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(b) GDPR.

In some cases, the payment service providers themselves collect the data necessary for the transaction, for example, on their own websites or through a technical integration during the order process. The privacy policy of the respective payment service provider applies in these cases.

If you have questions about our payment partners or the basis of our cooperation with them, please contact us using the contact options described in this privacy policy.

4.2 Data Processing for Fraud Prevention and Payment Process Optimization

Where applicable, we provide our service providers with additional data, which they use alongside the data necessary for payment processing, as our processors, for the purposes of fraud prevention and optimization of our payment processes (e.g., invoicing, handling disputed payments, support for accounting). This is done to protect our legitimate interests in safeguarding against fraud and ensuring efficient payment management, in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Advertising by Email

6.1 General Information

To make your visit to our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use technologies including so-called cookies on various pages. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your device. Through these technologies, your IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and information about your use of our website (e.g., contents of the shopping cart) are collected and processed. This serves our legitimate interests, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests, in optimizing the presentation of our offerings in accordance with Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR.

Additionally, we use technologies to fulfill our legal obligations (e.g., to prove your consent to the processing of your personal data) as well as for web analytics and online marketing. 6.2 Cookiebot Consent Management Platform

On our website, we use the GDPR/CCPC+Cookie Management system (by iSenseLabs) to inform you about the cookies and other technologies we use on our website and to obtain, manage, and document your possibly required consent to the processing of your personal data by these technologies.

This is necessary under Art. 6(1)(1)(c) GDPR to fulfill our legal obligation under Art. 7(1) GDPR to be able to prove your consent to the processing of your personal data, to which we are subject.

After you submit your cookie declaration on our website, the Cookiebot web server stores your anonymized IP address, date and time of your declaration, browser information, the URL from which the declaration was sent, information about your consent behavior, as well as an anonymous random key. A cookie is also set that contains information about your consent behavior and the key.

Your data will be deleted after twelve months unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data according to Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR or we reserve the right to use the data beyond that as permitted by law and explained in this privacy policy.

7. USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES FOR WEB ANALYSIS AND ADVERTISING PURPOSES

If you have given your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(a) GDPR, we use the following cookies and other third-party technologies on our website. After the purpose ends and we stop using the respective technology, the data collected in this context will be deleted. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. More information on how to revoke your consent can be found in the section "Cookies and other technologies." Additional information including the basis of our cooperation with the individual providers can be found in the descriptions of each technology. If you have questions about the providers and the basis of our cooperation with them, please contact the contact details described in this privacy policy.

7.1 Use of Google Services for Web Analysis and Advertising Purposes

We use the following technologies from Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). The information automatically collected about your use of our website through Google technologies is usually transmitted to and stored on a server of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. No adequacy decision from the European Commission exists for the USA. Our cooperation is based on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. If your IP address is collected via Google technologies, it is shortened by activating IP anonymization before storage on Google servers. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server and shortened there. Unless otherwise specified for the individual technologies, data processing is based on an agreement between joint controllers pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR. Further information about data processing by Google can be found in Google’s privacy policies.

Google Analytics

For website analysis purposes, data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as information about your use of our website) is automatically collected and stored with Google Analytics, from which pseudonymous user profiles are created. Cookies may be used for this. Your IP address is generally not combined with other Google data. Data processing is based on a data processing agreement with Google.

To optimize marketing of our website, we have enabled data sharing settings for “Google products and services,” allowing Google to access and use the data collected and processed by Google Analytics to improve Google services. This data sharing is based on an additional agreement between joint controllers. We have no influence on the subsequent data processing by Google.
We use the User-ID feature to assign a unique, permanent ID to your interaction data across one or multiple sessions on our online offerings to analyze your behavior across devices and sessions.
We also use Google Optimize as an extension of Google Analytics for testing purposes.

Google Signals, an extension of Google Analytics, enables “cross-device tracking.” If your internet-enabled devices are linked to your Google account and you have enabled “personalized ads” in your Google account, Google can generate reports on your usage behavior (including cross-device user numbers), even when switching devices. No personal data processing occurs by us; we only receive statistics generated based on Google Signals.

The DoubleClick cookie used by Google Analytics enables recognition of your browser when visiting other websites for web analysis and advertising. Google uses this information to compile reports about website activity and provide other services related to website use.

Google AdSense

Our website markets space for third-party ads via Google AdSense, which are displayed at various places on this site. The DoubleClick cookie enables showing more interest-based ads through data collection (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and your use of our website) and automatic assignment of a pseudonymous User ID, which determines interests based on visits to this and other websites.

Google Ads

For advertising purposes on Google search results and third-party websites, a Google Remarketing cookie is set when you visit our site. This cookie collects and processes data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as your use of our website) and uses a pseudonymous cookie ID and your visited pages to enable interest-based advertising. Further data processing only occurs if you have enabled “personalized ads” in your Google account. If you are logged into Google during your visit, Google uses your data along with Google Analytics data to create device-crossing remarketing lists.

For website analysis and event tracking, we use Google Ads Conversion Tracking to measure your subsequent behavior if you came to our website via a Google Ads advertisement. Cookies and data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser info, and usage data based on defined events like webpage visits or newsletter registration) may be collected, from which pseudonymous user profiles are created.

Google Maps

Google Maps collects data about your use of Maps features (especially IP address and location data), transmits it to Google, and processes it. We have no influence on this subsequent processing.

Google reCAPTCHA

To protect our web forms from misuse and spam by automated software (“bots”), Google reCAPTCHA collects data (IP address, time of visit, browser information, and your use of our website) and analyzes your use via JavaScript and cookies. Other cookies stored by Google services in your browser are also evaluated. No personal data from form fields is read or stored.

YouTube Video Plugin

To embed third-party content, the YouTube Video Plugin in enhanced privacy mode collects data (IP address, time of visit, device, and browser information), transmits it to Google, and processes it only if you play a video.

7.2 Use of Facebook Services for Web Analysis and Advertising Purposes

Facebook Pixel

We use the Facebook Pixel within the following technologies of Facebook Ireland Ltd.,

4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). The Pixel automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and info about your use of our website based on events such as page visits or newsletter registrations), from which pseudonymous user profiles are created.

In the context of “advanced matching,” additional hashed information (e.g., names, email addresses, phone numbers) is collected and stored to identify individuals. The Facebook Pixel automatically sets a cookie that enables pseudonymous recognition of your browser when visiting other websites. Facebook combines this data with data from your Facebook account to generate reports about website activity and to provide further services, especially personalized and group-based advertising.

The data is usually transmitted to and stored on servers of Facebook, Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California, USA. No adequacy decision from the European Commission exists for the USA. If the data transfer to the USA falls under our responsibility, our cooperation is based on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. Further information about data processing by Facebook can be found in Facebook’s privacy policies.

Facebook Analytics

Using data collected via the Facebook Pixel, Facebook Analytics creates statistics on visitor activity on our website. Data processing is based on a data processing agreement with Facebook. The analysis serves to optimally present and market our website.

Facebook Ads

We advertise on Facebook and other platforms via Facebook Ads. We set the campaign parameters. Facebook decides on ad placement per user. Unless otherwise stated, data processing is based on an agreement between joint controllers under Art. 26 GDPR, limited to data collection and transmission to Facebook Ireland. Facebook Ireland’s subsequent data processing is not covered by this agreement.

Using visitor statistics created with the Facebook Pixel, we conduct group-based advertising via Facebook Custom Audience by determining target group features. For this, Facebook acts as our processor in the advanced data matching process.

Based on the pseudonymous cookie ID set by the Facebook Pixel and data on your website usage, we perform personalized remarketing via Facebook Pixel.

Through Facebook Pixel Conversions, we measure your subsequent behavior for web analysis and event tracking when you access our site via a Facebook Ads advertisement. Data processing is based on a data processing agreement with Facebook.

7.3 Other Providers of Web Analysis and Online Marketing Services

Use of Amazon Services for Online Marketing

Via the advertising partner Amazon Europe Core S.à.r.l., 5 Rue Plaetis, L-2338 Luxembourg (“Amazon”), we market space for third-party ads on Amazon. These ads appear in various places on our website. Using cookies, Amazon can track the order process and verify that you clicked on the ad and then ordered the product. Data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser info, and use of our website) is collected, transmitted to Amazon, and processed. We have no influence on this data processing.

Data processing is based on an agreement between joint controllers under Art. 26 GDPR. Data collected via Amazon is usually transmitted to and stored on servers of Amazon, Inc., 410 Terry Ave. North, Seattle, WA, USA. No adequacy decision exists for the USA. Our cooperation is based on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

Use of Vimeo Video Plugin to Embed Third-Party Content

To embed third-party content, the Vimeo video plugin from Vimeo LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, USA (“Vimeo”), collects data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information), transmits it to Vimeo, and processes it. Data processing is based on a joint controller agreement under Art. 26 GDPR.

The Vimeo plugin automatically integrates Google Analytics. For website analysis, Google Analytics automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser info, and your use of our website) to create pseudonymous user profiles. Cookies may be used. Google Analytics is a service of Google Ireland Ltd. Data collected by Google is usually transmitted to and stored on Google LLC servers in the USA. IP anonymization is activated, shortening your IP before storage. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP transmitted and shortened on Google servers.

We have no influence or access to data processing by Vimeo, including settings and results from Google Analytics. No adequacy decision exists for the USA. Our cooperation is based on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

8. SOCIAL MEDIA

8.1 Social Plugins from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Xing, WhatsApp

Our website uses social buttons from social networks. These are only integrated into the page as HTML links, so that no connection to the servers of the respective provider is established when you access our website. If you click on one of the buttons, the website of the respective social network will open in a new window of your browser. There you can, for example, click the Like or Share button.

8.2 Our Online Presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Xing

Provided that you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR to the respective social media provider, your data will be automatically collected and stored for market research and advertising purposes when you visit our online presences on the above-mentioned social media platforms.
